Classical Apologetics - "The Twelve Points"

This is a series of lectures by Dr. Aaron Ford on classical apologetics. The “Twelve Points” was originally developed by Dr. Norman Geisler who is one of the most renowned apologists of the 20th century. Please note, I have added and subtracted from Dr. Geisler’s version of the Twelve Points to make it accommodate my particular need.

Classical apologetics is differentiated from other forms of apologetics in that it begins with the proofs for God. This is unlike some methods of apologetics which begin for example with proofs of Christianity from history, as in historical apologetics or in presuppositional apologetics which argues that any premise whatsoever must presuppose God.

These lectures begin with Point 1 which argues that truth exists and is knowable and moves through twelve proceeding points which defend a theistic God, the historical reliability of the New Testament, and Jesus as God. Science, historical evidence and philosophy are used in defending Christianity as corresponding best with and making the most sense of reality. It therefore follows that Christianity is the only true religion.

Please note, the notes do not corrolate to the lectures perfectly because the notes were done for a later set of lectures on the same subject. So you may want to review the notes prior to listening to each lecture.

I am sure that within some or all of these talks I either made mistakes or misrepresented some particular scripture, doctrine or subject. Please accept what helps you and is true and disregard the rest. May God be glorified, believers be strengthened, and the poor in spirit (spiritually clueless) come to the Light.
